About Apichat Pakwan
Apichat Pakwan (อภิชาติ ปากหวาน) is a Khon Kaen-based project that blends traditional Morlam instrumentation — kaen mouth organ, phin string — with electronic production and dub influences. The group formed when Dutch producer Olivier Schreuder, who spent years studying Southeast Asian music, connected with local Isan musicians Pongsapon Upani and Artit Krajangsree in Khon Kaen. If you want to hear what happens when deep regional Thai folk tradition gets routed through a European electronic sensibility, this is a rare chance to find out in a live setting.
