About the Venue
Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, rises beside the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok Yai, its ornate central prang covered in porcelain and seashell mosaics. As one of Bangkok's most recognizable landmarks, it offers a rare setting where live music can be experienced against centuries of Thai architecture and heritage. The riverside location and dramatic silhouette, especially striking at sunrise and sunset, make it a memorable backdrop for cultural performances and special events. Getting There
Located on the Thonburi (west) bank of the Chao Phraya River, directly opposite the Grand Palace area.
By MRT: Get off at Sanam Chai station (Blue Line), then take a taxi or ride-hailing car across the river, or walk to Tha Tien Pier for the cross-river ferry.
By BTS: Take the BTS to Saphan Taksin station, then change to the Chao Phraya Express Boat at Sathorn (Central) Pier and continue to Tha Tien Pier.
By boat: Take the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Tha Tien Pier (N8), then use the short cross-river ferry to Wat Arun. The ferry runs frequently during the day.
By taxi or ride-hailing: Grab, Bolt, and metered taxis can drop off near the temple entrance. Allow extra time during rush hour, as traffic around the old city is heavy.
By car: Parking near the temple is very limited. Public transport or a taxi is usually easier.
By foot: From Tha Tien Pier and the Wat Pho area, it's a short walk to the ferry crossing. Wat Arun is a few minutes' ferry ride from there.
Tip: Check the Google Maps link for live directions and ferry timings, especially in the evening when services may be limited.
