About Tahiti 80

Tahiti 80 are a Rouen-based French band who've been crafting bright, hook-driven indie pop with a clear debt to 1960s American sunshine rock since the mid-1990s. Their 1999 debut Puzzle established the template — melodic, lightly retro, sung mostly in English — and they've released a steady run of albums since, including Ballads of the Revolution and Here with You. Their catalogue rewards listeners who want something closer to Teenage Fanclub or Fountains of Wayne than anything coming out of the current French scene.
