About Brent Burns

Brent Burns is an Oklahoma-born singer-songwriter rooted in Trop-Rock — the sun-and-rum adjacent genre associated with beach bars, sailboats, and the Parrothead crowd. A Vietnam veteran who returned to performing after a three-year military hospital recuperation, he's been working the road circuit across the United States since the early 1970s. If you're already a Parrothead or follow the Trop-Rock circuit, he's a familiar name in that world; everyone else should know going in that this is laid-back, escapist fare built for an outdoor bar setting rather than a concert hall.
