About Pangaea

Bristol-based DJ and producer Kevin McAuley makes dense, low-end-heavy music rooted in UK garage and breakbeat, with a functional, club-focused approach that resists easy categorisation. He co-founded Hessle Audio, the label that quietly shaped a generation of UK bass music alongside Ben UFO and Pearson Sound. His sets work best heard on a serious sound system — the detail in the low end doesn't translate at low volume.
