About Oz Noy
Oz Noy is an Israeli-born, New York-based guitarist who blends jazz, funk, rock and blues into fusion that he says is "jazz that just doesn't sound like it." He started working professionally at 13 and was a first-call studio guitarist in Israel by his mid-twenties, then moved to New York in 1996, where he built a career in the city's club scene and as a bandleader. Expect a guitar-led trio or quartet format with plenty of improvisation, which suits listeners who like their funk and fusion loose rather than tightly arranged.
