About Northlane
Northlane is a Sydney metalcore band, formed in 2009, whose sound blends djent-style rhythmic precision with progressive metal structures and melodic post-hardcore hooks. Their 2015 album Node and its follow-up Mesmer (2017) marked a shift from their earlier, heavier deathcore-leaning records toward a more atmospheric, electronic-tinged style, and Marcus Bridge has fronted the band since 2014. Live, that split shows up in the setlist, with the dense, down-tuned riffs sitting alongside the more melodic material from the Bridge era.
