About Nargaroth

Nargaroth is a German black metal project built almost entirely around one person — Kanwulf (René Wagner), who has written, recorded, and performed under the name since 1996. The 2005 album Jahreszeiten is widely regarded as a landmark in the genre, drawing on raw, atmospheric production that sits closer to the Scandinavian second wave than most of its German contemporaries. Live appearances are rare enough that a show represents a genuine chance to see a one-man operation that has stayed deliberately outside the metal mainstream for nearly three decades.
