About Muque
Muque (ムク) is a four-piece band from Fukuoka, formed in May 2022, who blend J-pop melodies with alt-rock instrumentation and a Japanese-leaning topline. Drummer takachi handles most of the production and arrangement, drawing on global and Asian beats alongside Western pop, while vocalist Asakura writes the lyrics. The split between a trackmaker-driven sound and a band lineup of vocals, guitar, bass and drums is what to expect on stage, and it makes them a good pick for fans of the more polished, electronic-tinged side of Japanese indie.
