About St. Vincent
St. Vincent is the project of Tulsa-born guitarist and songwriter Annie Clark, whose music fuses art pop with sharp, dissonant guitar work, layered electronics, and a fondness for odd time signatures and abrupt dynamic shifts. Her 2021 album Daddy's Home drew on 1970s downtown New York funk and psychedelia, and she has collaborated closely with David Byrne — releasing the joint album Love This Giant in 2012. Live, she's known for precise, almost choreographed performances built around her guitar playing, which ranges from clean melodic lines to genuinely harsh noise within the same song.
