M2M

M2M are a Norwegian pop duo made up of Marit Larsen and Marion Raven, whose guitar-and-piano-driven songs sit somewhere between bright teen pop and singer-songwriter material. The pair have been friends since age five and released a children's album as Marit & Marion in 1996, which earned a Spellemannprisen nomination before they signed to Atlantic Records in 1998 and renamed themselves M2M. They wrote most of their own songs and played their own instruments, which set them apart from much of the pop of their era, so a live set is a chance to hear that material played by the people who wrote it.
