About Tigers Jaw

Tigers Jaw are a Scranton, Pennsylvania band whose sound sits at the intersection of midwest emo and pop punk — guitar-driven and melodic, with dual vocals shared between Brianna Collins and Ben Walsh giving their songs an unusually warm, conversational quality. They've been releasing records since 2005 and their 2014 self-titled LP is often cited as a touchstone for the wave of emo revival bands that followed. Live, the Collins/Walsh vocal interplay is the thing to pay attention to — it translates better in a room than on a recording.
