About Kaya
Kaya is a Japanese solo vocalist from Tokushima whose sound sits at the darker, more theatrical end of visual kei — elaborate costumes, gothic atmosphere, and vocals built for drama. He co-founded the electronic duo Schwarz Stein in 2001, which established him as a fixture in the scene before he launched a solo career on his own label, Traumerei. His live shows are costume-heavy and performance-focused, which makes them a different proposition from just listening to the records.
