The Used are a post-hardcore and emo band from Orem, Utah, who pair Bert McCracken's raw, shrieking-to-melodic vocals with pop-punk hooks and screamo bite. Their self-titled 2002 debut and 2004 follow-up In Love and Death helped define the mid-2000s emo wave, and "The Taste of Ink" and "Buried Myself Alive" remain staples of the genre. Their live shows draw heavily on those early records, so expect a crowd that knows every word.
