Hawthorne Heights

Hawthorne Heights is an emo and post-hardcore band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001, pairing screamed backing vocals with melodic, pop-punk-leaning hooks. Their debut album The Silence in Black and White (2004) was the breakout that put them at the center of the mid-2000s emo wave, and its single "Ohio Is for Lovers" remains their signature song. Fans of that era's scene should find the set a straightforward run through those early records, led by JT Woodruff's raw, strained vocals.
