The Toy Dolls are a punk trio from Sunderland, England, who wrap fast, technically precise guitar work around absurdist, often comedic lyrics — closer in spirit to Buzzcocks or early Ramones than to the grimmer end of UK punk. They've been at it since 1979, releasing over a dozen studio albums and building a cult following across Europe and Japan that has held steady for four decades. Live, frontman and guitarist Olga leads short, rapid-fire sets where the joke and the riff land at the same time — fans tend to know every word.
