About the Artist

JD Beck is a Dallas-born drummer and producer whose work sits squarely in jazz fusion, blending technical precision with a feel that draws from funk and contemporary R&B. His collaborative project with DOMi, DOMi & JD Beck, released NOT TiGHT on Blue Note in 2022 with Anderson .Paak and Thundercat among the guest contributors. As a drummer, he plays with a looseness that belies his age — worth catching if you want to see that kind of technical facility up close rather than through headphones.
