About the Artist

DJ Masda is a Japanese DJ whose sets draw on early techno, futurist electro, and the looser, playful side of house, moving between darker and lighter moods. He has made podcast mixes for Resident Advisor, XLR8R, Dimensions, and Bassiani, and previously ran A&R for Tokyo's Energy Flash Distribution. He is known for short, tightly timed mixes that fit older records in with new ones, which suits a night built around selection more than peak-hour volume.
