Danupol Kaewkarn

Danupol Kaewkarn is a Bangkok-born singer-songwriter whose work moves across luk thung, phleng phuea chiwit, and Thai pop — rooted in the string-band sound he helped shape as front man of Grand Ex in the 1970s and 80s. His 1986 solo debut ฝันสีทอง (Golden Dreams) sold over a million copies, making it one of the landmark Thai releases of that decade. With a catalogue that spans nearly fifty years of Thai popular music, his shows tend to draw audiences who know the words to most of the setlist.
