Math Rock
About the Artist
cotoba (코토바) is a Seoul math rock and post-rock band formed in 2018, built around two interlocking guitars, bass and drums. Their sound draws heavily on Japanese acts like toe, tricot and LITE, and the lyrics move between Korean, Japanese and English; the name itself is the Japanese word for "language." Expect tight, intricate rhythmic playing with melodic, vocal-led hooks rather than purely instrumental math rock.
