Getting There
Located on the Mahidol University Salaya campus in Nakhon Pathom, on the western edge of Greater Bangkok.
By car: Head west from central Bangkok toward Phutthamonthon Sai 4 Rd and follow signs to the Salaya campus. Travel time varies widely with traffic, so allow extra time on concert nights.
By taxi or ride-hailing: Grab and Bolt can drop you at the campus. This is usually the easiest option from central Bangkok, though fares and wait times rise after the show.
By bus: Public buses and minibuses serve Salaya from Bangkok. Check current routes and stops in Google Maps, as services change.
By train: Regular State Railway of Thailand services run from Bangkok to Salaya station. From there, take a short taxi or motorbike ride to the campus. Check timetables in advance, especially for return trips.
By MRT: The MRT Blue Line extension toward the western suburbs may offer a partial connection. Confirm the nearest station and onward transport in Google Maps before you travel.
Parking: On-campus parking may be limited on event days. Check the organizer's notice for parking details and arrive early.
Tip: Use the Google Maps link for live directions and plan your return trip in advance, as late-night public transport options are limited.
About Yuja Wang
王羽佳 (Yuja Wang) is a Beijing-born, New York-based pianist who moves between the big Romantic and modern concertos and more colouristic repertoire, with a technique that handles Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev and Ravel with equal ease. She came to wide attention in 2007 when she stepped in for Martha Argerich at the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and she has since become a regular soloist with major orchestras and a Deutsche Grammophon recording artist. Her recitals are known for demanding programmes and for encores that often run long, so a night with her tends to offer more music than the printed bill.
