About TOKYO SHOEGAZER
TOKYO SHOEGAZER is a Japanese band whose sound runs dense walls of guitar distortion through dream pop atmospherics and occasional math rock rhythmic shifts, landing somewhere between My Bloody Valentine and early Mogwai. They've built a following of around 50K Spotify listeners largely through word-of-mouth within the international shoegaze underground. Their live sets reportedly push the volume and layering considerably harder than the recorded versions, which is kind of the whole point with this genre.
