About TOKYO SHOEGAZER
Tokyo Shoegazer (東京酒吐座) is a Tokyo band that blends shoegaze and dream pop with the angular rhythms of math rock. They began in 2010 as a one-off lineup assembled for drummer Sasabuchi Hiroshi's birthday show at Shibuya O-WEST, then stayed together and released their second album, turnaround, in 2013. The members come from other Tokyo bands, including Kara and acid android, Presence of soul and Zeppet Store, which helps explain a sound that is denser and more rhythmically driven than most shoegaze.
