About Pearson Sound
Pearson Sound is the alias of London producer and DJ David Kennedy, who also records as Ramadanman. His music runs through UK funky, breakbeat and dubstep-rooted bass, built on dense percussion, heavy low end and synth washes. He co-founded the Hessle Audio label with Pangaea and Ben UFO, which has released early work by James Blake, Joe and Elgato and held a residency at fabric. In a club, his sets draw on that whole bass-music lineage, from the dub-heavy minimalism of his late-2000s tracks to the rave-ready "Alien Mode" from 2020.
