Mew

Mew is a Danish band from Copenhagen, formed in 1995, whose dream pop is built around Jonas Bjerre's high falsetto and dense, shifting arrangements that lean toward prog and shoegaze. Their 2003 album Frengers, with "Am I Wry? No" and "She Came Home for Christmas," brought them out of Denmark to an international audience, and And the Glass Handed Kites (2005) pushed the sound toward a continuous, suite-like structure. Their songs are layered and complex on record, so seeing how the band recreates them on stage is a draw for fans of that catalogue.
