About Marty Friedman
Marty Friedman is a Washington, D.C.-born guitarist and composer whose instrumental work blends neoclassical shred and heavy metal with Eastern scales, and whose self-taught, improvisational style is recognizable within a few bars. He first became known as the lead guitarist of Megadeth, then relocated to Japan and built a second career there as a solo artist and television personality. Live, expect a guitar-led instrumental show built around his melodic, scale-bending lead playing rather than vocals.
