About THORNHILL
Thornhill is a Melbourne band, formed in 2015, who started out in metalcore and have since moved toward a heavier, atmospheric take on alt metal, with djent-style riffing and shoegaze texture running through it. Their 2019 debut album The Dark Pool drew strong critical praise and is still widely held up as their best, while 2022's Heroine marked the full turn to alt metal and 2025's BODIES pulled in nu metal influences. The Deftones comparison is a fair starting point, so fans of that band's mix of weight and melody are the most likely to get something out of their live show.
