About L'Impératrice
L'Impératrice is a Paris band that blends French pop with disco, nu-disco and house, built around synths, bass and Flore Benguigui's cool, airy vocals. Their 2021 album Tako Tsubo and the earlier Matahari (2018) made them one of the most visible French indie-pop exports of the past decade, with a following well beyond France. The songs are made for dancing, and the band plays them as a full group rather than as a laptop set.
