About DJ MAO
DJ MAO is an emerging rkt artist — the Buenos Aires-born genre that layers cumbia rhythms with hard-kicking electronic production built for clubs and street parties.
With only a small Spotify following so far, there's not much public record to go on, but rkt acts at this stage tend to be rooted in local scenes where the music travels faster through dancefloors than streaming platforms.
If you follow rkt or cumbia-adjacent club music, catching them at a small venue now is the logical move before the crowd gets bigger.
