About CREEPY NUTS
Creepy Nuts are a Japanese hip-hop duo made up of rapper R-Shitei (R指定) and DJ Matsunaga (DJ松永), pairing fast, dense rapping with turntable-driven production that crosses into j-pop and anime soundtrack territory. The pair formed in 2013, and R-Shitei had already won several Ultimate MC Battle titles between 2009 and 2014 before stepping away from competitive freestyle. Their roots in battle culture show in the live format: just two people, a rapper and a DJ, carrying the whole show with no backing band.
