About Yokee Playboy
Yokee Playboy is a Bangkok act whose Thai pop and Thai rock lean on funk grooves, with lyrics that are fragile and quietly heartbroken. The name sets the tone: "Yokee" means hermit, "Playboy" means the opposite, and the songs play out that pull between urban excess and the urge to be alone afterward. If you like Thai indie-pop that pairs a slick, danceable sound with a melancholy streak, this is a set worth catching.
