About BAND-MAID
BAND-MAID is a five-piece, all-female hard rock band from Tokyo who play heavy, technical J-rock with metal-leaning riffs while dressed as maids, a concept that grew out of founder Miku Kobato's time working at a maid café. The group formed in July 2013 and has kept the same five members since, with Kanami Tōno on lead guitar, Akane Hirose on drums, Misa on bass and Saiki Atsumi on lead vocals. The maid costumes are part of the show, but the band's tight, riff-driven playing is the main draw for anyone who likes their rock loud and precise.
