About AWEN
AWEN is a Paris-born singer-songwriter, of French and Malian-Senegalese parentage, who makes afro house with tribal and afro tech leanings. Before music took over, she built a career as a lawyer in Hong Kong, and she began releasing music under the name AWEN after her father's death. Her following on Spotify is modest at around 18,000, so a Bangkok date is a chance to catch her in a small room, with her vocals front and centre rather than buried under the beat.
