About AprilBlue
AprilBlue is a five-piece Japanese band formed in 2018, playing shoegaze and dream pop with touches of math rock and the melodic bent of Shibuya-kei and J-rock. The group grew out of a karaoke session between guitarist Azusa Kan and vocalist Haruki Funasoko, who had no previous band experience when Kan invited her to sing one of his songs. Their lineup of two guitars, bass and drums behind Funasoko's vocals should suit anyone who likes hazy, layered guitar textures paired with tight, rhythmically busy playing.
