About Abstraction XL
Abstraction XL is a Thai band threading post-rock textures and indie rock arrangements through the folk-rooted traditions of phleng phuea chiwit and luk thung. With just under 5,000 Spotify followers, they're still a small act, but the genre combination is genuinely unusual — luk thung melody carried on the kind of slow-build, guitar-layered structures you'd expect from a very different scene.
