About the Artist

VTEN is a Nepali rapper who helped legitimize Nepali-language hip-hop as a mainstream genre, building a devoted following across Nepal and the Nepali diaspora. His 2020 track "RATO SETO" crossed 10 million YouTube views and sits alongside a catalogue that mixes hard-hitting street rap with melodic hooks in Nepali and occasionally Newari. His live shows draw on that catalogue's range, making them worth catching for anyone curious how hip-hop sounds when it's rooted somewhere other than the usual centres.
