The Sun

เดอะซัน (The Sun) are a Thai band whose sound pulls together hard rock with phleng phuea chiwit and luk thung influences — a combination that sits closer to the working-class roots of Thai folk rock than the Bangkok indie mainstream. With just under 40K Spotify followers, they're still building a wider audience but carry real genre credibility within Thai roots-rock circles. If you're curious how traditional Thai song forms hold up against a full rock arrangement, a live show is the place to find out.
