Spectral Wound are a Montreal black metal band whose sound draws on second-wave Scandinavian tradition — raw, fast, and corrosive — without veering into atmospheric softening or post-metal drift. Their 2021 album A Diabolic Thirst drew serious attention across the underground and pushed them toward the front of the current North American black metal conversation. Live, they play with the kind of stripped-back intensity the genre demands, making a small venue the right setting if you can find one.
