About the Artist
Salad are a London indie band formed in 1992 around frontwoman Marijne Van Der Vlugt, whose vocals sit over the kind of wiry, hook-driven guitar pop that defined the Britpop and Madchester scenes. They released on Island Records in the mid-90s before disbanding in 1999, and have since reformed with a small but loyal following. If you missed them the first time around, this is a rare chance to catch a genuine product of that era rather than a tribute to it.
