mui zyu

mui zyu is the project of Eva Liu, a Hong Kong British artist born in Northern Ireland to a family that moved there from Hong Kong. Her bedroom pop and indie electronic songs fold fantasy and Cantonese folklore into questions of identity, built from layered vocals and soft, self-produced textures. Her debut album Rotten Bun for an Eggless Century came out on Father/Daughter Records in February 2023.
