MONTAÑERA

MONTAÑERA is the solo project of Colombian musician María Mónica Gutiérrez, now based in London, making Latin indie that leans into ambient textures, art pop and ethereal electronics. Her albums Encarnación (2017) and Salvadora (2020) each earned an Honourable Mention from Colombia's Ministry of Culture, and her 2023 record A Flor De Piel came out on the Austin label Western Vinyl. She has also played in the Colombian bands Suricato and Ságan, so her solo work draws on jazz and pop as well as experimental production.
