About the Artist
Israel & New Breed is a Christian worship group led by Israel Houghton, blending gospel with jazz and rock in a cross-cultural style that Houghton built after forming the band in 1997. Their live album Alive in South Africa, recorded in Cape Town, won the 2007 Grammy for Best Traditional Gospel Album, and its song "Not Forgotten" took a Dove Award the year before. Their records are made as live congregational recordings, so expect a set built around call-and-response worship rather than a standard concert run.
