Grrrl Gang

Grrrl Gang are a Jakarta-based indie rock band whose guitars-forward sound sits close to the scrappier end of 90s-influenced indie pop — think jangly riffs and candid, often bittersweet lyrics. Their 2018 album Selamanya built much of their following in Indonesia and helped establish them as part of a generation of bands pushing the domestic indie scene outward. They're a tight live unit, and their catalogue translates well to a room where the crowd already knows the words.
