Daniel Brandt

Daniel Brandt is a German drummer and composer whose solo work sits in the minimalist end of electronic music — sparse, patient, and closer to contemporary classical than club culture. He's best known as a co-founder of Brandt Brauer Frick, the Berlin electroacoustic ensemble that built techno frameworks out of acoustic instruments. His solo sets tend to reward close listening rather than dancing, so if that trade-off suits you, he's worth catching at an intimate venue.
