About the Artist

Carcass are a Liverpool death metal band whose 1993 album Heartwork helped define melodic death metal as a genre, bridging the gore-drenched grindcore of their early records with something approaching mainstream heavy metal songwriting. After disbanding in 1996 and reforming in 2007, they released Torn Arteries in 2021 — their first studio album in nearly two decades — to a reception that confirmed their influence hadn't faded. Live, they pull from across a catalogue that spans almost 40 years, so a single set covers grindcore, melodic death metal, and everything in between.
