About the Artist

Bruno Mars is a Honolulu-born singer, songwriter and producer (born Peter Gene Hernandez) whose pop, funk and R&B draws heavily on James Brown, Prince and Motown-era showmanship. His 2016 album 24K Magic and the 2014 Mark Ronson collaboration "Uptown Funk" cemented him as one of the most awarded pop acts of the last decade, and his 2021 Silk Sonic project with Anderson .Paak, An Evening with Silk Sonic, swept the 2022 Grammys. Live, he fronts a tightly drilled band with choreographed horn lines and dance breaks, so the shows lean on musicianship as much as on the hits.
