About the Artist

รุ่งฤดี แพ่งผ่องใส is a Thai singer who has worked since 1965, moving between luk thung and phleng phuea chiwit (Thailand's "songs for life" tradition) with roots in the refined luk krung style. Born in 1946, she has recorded more than 2,000 songs, a body of work that spans several generations of Thai popular music and has earned her recognition as a national cultural treasure. Her catalogue is mostly known to Thai audiences, so a live set is a chance to hear classic repertoire from someone who helped shape it.
