About the Artist

Animistic Beliefs are a Rotterdam duo, Mara Lalihatu and Linh Luu, who build breakbeat-driven club music from hardware live sets, with roots in IDM and a punk edge. Their debut album Mindset:Reset came out on Solar One Music, and they followed it with MERDEKA on Mexico's NAAFI label. Their work moves between clubs, museums and theatre stages, so a live set can lean toward performance as much as a straight DJ night.
