Anderson .Paak is a Oxnard, California artist who blurs the line between hip-hop, funk, and R&B — typically rapping and singing while playing drums live, which is rarer than it sounds. His 2016 album Malibu built his reputation, and his collaborative project with Bruno Mars as Silk Sonic produced the Grammy-winning "Leave the Door Open." Seeing him play drums and front the band simultaneously is the main reason to show up in person.
