múm is an Icelandic experimental electronic group formed in 1997 by Gunnar Örn Tynes and Örvar Þóreyjarson Smárason, blending soft vocals, glitchy IDM beats and post-rock textures with a mix of traditional and unconventional instruments. The lineup has swelled and shrunk over the years, at times counting 15 to 20 people, which gives their records a chamber-like, hand-built quality.
