Tommy Emmanuel

Tommy Emmanuel is an Australian fingerstyle guitarist, born in 1955, who plays solo acoustic arrangements that cover melody, bass line and percussion on a single guitar. He has shared stages and recordings with Chet Atkins, Eric Clapton and John Denver, and his tune "The Journey" reached the Australian Top 30 in 1993. His repertoire runs from originals like "Cross the Nullarbor" to his take on Mason Williams' "Classical Gas," and seeing it done by one player with no backing is the draw for anyone who follows acoustic guitar.
